On December 11th the Packers hosted the #5AAAA Rockets. The Rockets are lead by brothers Michael and Matthew Hurt. Michael is a senior who will be playing basketball at the U of M next year. Matthew is a freshman who already has numerous D1 offers.
The Rockets came out shooting and had a big lead to start the game. Michael had 5 three pointers and scored 20. Matthew scored 31 and hit 3 three pointers of his own. D’Angelo Tines added 12. The Rockets were 13-27 from the three point line.
The Packers were lead by Junior Kyle Oberbroeckling who had 13 points and 6 rebounds. Senior Jace Murray scored 11 and also had 6 rebounds. The Packers fought hard inside against the much bigger Rockets but couldn’t overcome the Rockets hot shooting. Here is a link to the Daily Herald article.
