Packers will host Owatonna Friday Night

The Packers will return to action this Friday night for a home match up versus Owatonna.   Tuesday night’s game  vs Mayo was postponed.  Below are the current section standings for Austin.

Austin edges Winona

The Packer boys raised their overall record to 9-2 , 5-0 in the conference, after a 46-42 win over the Winona Winhawks Friday night in Winona.

Austin’s next game will be home  Tuesday, January 7th against Rochester Mayo.

Austin defeated by Kaukauna WI

The Packer boys faced their toughest opponent of their first ten games Saturday night at Winona State University. The Kaukauna WI Ghosts defeated the Pack 49-43. Cold shooting was the downfall for the boys as they scored a season low 17 points in the first half. Zach Wessels left the game with 15 minutes remaining in the second half to get a cut above his eye stitched. The Ghosts were the third consecutive ranked opponent for the Packers.

The next game is at Winona High School  on Friday, January 3rd at 7:30pm.

Packers improve to 8-1

The Austin boys traveled to Winona State Friday night to play 8-0 P-E-M in the Warrior Club Holiday Basketball Tournament. The Packers built a 38-21 halftime lead and won 71-54. Four players scored in double figures.

The team will be back in action 5:00 Saturday night at Winona State, playing their second game of the tournament against 7-1 Kaukauna WI.

Packers beat Red Wing 53-37

The Austin Boys hosted Red Wing Friday night and came away with a convincing victory raising their overall record to 7-1, 3-0 in the section. For the third straight game the Pack did not allow their opponent to score over 40 points.

The team will be back in action Friday December 27th and  Saturday the 28th playing in the Warrior Classic at Winona State University. Varsity will play 5th ranked class 2A Plainview-Elgin-Millville on friday and Kaukauna WI on Saturday. Both games are at 5:00. JV will have games at 12:40 on Friday and 1:40 on Saturday.
