Packers win in dramatic fashion

The Packers ran into a hot shooting Rochester John Marshall team but dominated the final five minutes to get the win 62-60. Austin scored the games final 11 points to pull out the victory in front of a loud JM crowd. The win improves the Packers record to 22-3 and 17-0 in conference play.

Friday night the Pack will hosting Faribault in our Paint the Town Pink “Hoops for Hope” game and will try to complete their second consecutive Big 9 conference perfect record.

Packers three-peat

The 21-3 Packers clinched a share of the Big Nine title when they defeated Mankato East 73-50 on the road Saturday. Austin once again started strong and held a comfortable lead the entire game hitting over 50% of their 3-pointers and being very disruptive on defense.

A win in one of the final two games, either at Rochester JM on Tuesday or home against Faribault on Friday, will give the Pack sole possesion of the Big Nine title for the third consecutive year.

Packers take care of business

Austin traveled to Owatonna Friday night where the Huskies were looking to avenge a January 10th 23 point loss to the Packers. The Pack had other ideas.  Austin  got out an early lead and were up 34- 24 at the break as they went on to win the game 61-48. The win improves the Packers record to 20-3 overall and 15-0 in the conference.

Conference win streak reaches 40

A smothering defense was the key to a 54-34 victory over Rochester Mayo Tuesday night. The 19-3 Packers caused 24 turnovers for the game and held Mayo to 15 first half points.  The win was the 40th consecutive against conference opponents for the Austin program.

Austin will be back on the court Friday in Owatonna and Saturday at Mankato East. 7:30 start times.

Packers win 8th consecutive

Austin continued their winning ways as they defeated Faribault 62-44 on Saturday to improve to 18-3 overall and 13-0 in conference play. The Packers found themselves down 18-15 after a sluggish start, but turned the game around quickly! The Pack led by 34 six minutes into the second half, as the starters headed to the bench.

The team will have three conference road games this week, Tuesday at Mayo, Friday at Owatonna and Saturday at Mankato East.
