Austin destroys Holy Family
14 MarThe pregame buzz around the Target Center from non Packer fans was that Austin didn’t have much of a chance against the enormous Holy Family squad. That buzz was quickly squelched by the 28-3 Packers as they jumped all over the Fire and led 18-8 early in the game and 38-20 at half time. A run was expected from Holy Family in the second half but the Pack didn’t allow it and pushed the lead to almost 40 with 5 minutes left in the game. Austin closed out the game strong winning 70-42.
The win puts the Packers back in the Class AAA championship game for the second consecutive year with a rematch against DeLaSalle. The game will be played at Target Center, Saturday at 6:00pm.
Sign-up for both the student and community fan buses will be Friday at the High School.
