Packers fall to West

Austin boys finally returned home on Friday night but were unable to pull out the victory.  The Packers trailed Mankato the entire game closing the gap several times but unable to take the lead.  The game ended 54 to 64.

The Packers will travel to Winona on Tuesday night.  Then, the Pack will be back home on Friday night.  Also, a change has been made in the schedule, the game vs. Mayo has been moved from Tuesday, Jan. 27 to Monday, Jan. 26th.

Packers beat Owatonna

In a game where the shots would not fall, Austin boys used and aggressive defense, forcing Owatonna into 20 turnovers to get the win on the road 42 to 37.  The Packers led at the half 22 to 18 .  Austin played well down the stretch, holding on and getting the victory.

Austin will finally return home on Friday to play Mankato West. Seven of the next eleven games will be at home. Plan to come on Friday and cheer on the Pack!

Packers Pound the Tigers

The Packers scored 56 points in the second half on Friday night to defeat the Albert Lea Tigers 90 to 50.  Austin led Albert Lea at the half 34 to 28.  Austin used balanced scoring and a suffocating defense to take down the Tigers.  Zach Coffey led Austin in scoring with 16 points.

Austin has had 6 straight road games and will travel to Owatonna on Tuesday night to take on the Huskies.

Packers Road Woes Continue

The Packers lost to Mankato East Tuesday night 81 to 75.  Mankato East was a very athletic team that shot the ball very well.  The Pack found themselves trailing too much at the half again and had to battle back the entire second half of the game.  .  Gach Gach had a career game scoring 31 points.  The Packers head to Albert Lea on Friday night for another Big 9 match.

Packers lose to West

The Packers fell to Mankato West 60-64 on Saturday night, Jan. 3.  The Pack once again outscored their opponent in the second half but trailed by too much in the first half.  See the Herald story. You can see the highlights here.
